Dai Endurance Athlete of the Week is …. Rick Silva!
Rick joined Dai Endurance this fall when he got a training plan tailored for the Sacramento Cyclocross Season. He became interested in the business after attending a cyclocross skills clinic that Julie and Mike co hosted with Clint from SAC CX in 2017. Here’s a little Q & A with him..
Q.What do you do in real life?
A. I’m an Associate and Senior Project Coordinator specializing in Healthcare Architecture at HGA.
Q. What are your weaknesses?
A. Time management and believing in myself.
Q. Why are you training?
A. I’ve wanted to race a full cross season and focusing my energy on training helps me manage my depression and anxiety.
Q. Do you partake in any Dai Endurance Classes/Training/Fitting?
A. The Cyclocross training plan.
Q. Favorite piece of technology for training?
A. An iPod with high-energy, underground rock and roll.
Q. If you could spend 10 days anywhere, where would it be?
A. Sydney, Australia, because: Koalas, Wallabies and Bilbies!
Q. Do you have a pre-ride/run food you like to have?
A. Skratch Labs Energy Chews or energy bars.
Q. What is your favorite food to eat post training?
A. Fluid Chocolate Recovery with chocolate almond milk makes recovery tasty.
Q. Do you enjoy coffee/espresso or tea? What’s your preferred brand?
A. Coffee from any of the Sacramento area roasters.
Q. Why do you train with Dai Endurance?
A. I enjoyed meeting Julie and Mike at the 2017 cyclocross clinic and have been interested in training with them ever since.
