A. Love to challenge myself, didn’t start riding or racing until my late 40’s so never have been on any training plan or had a coach so figured with kids out of the house why not see what I got, I set some goals for this year in regards to some longer distance Endurance Events.
Q. Do you partake in any Dai Endurance Classes/Training/Fitting?
A. Not at this time, distance to Dai and work schedule don’t allow it at this time.
Q, What’s your ideal sporting event to attend or compete?
A. Absa Cape Epic, wish I had the fitness and skill level to do a long stage race.
Q. What’s the strangest thing you’ve ever seen on a bike ride?
A. Mountain Lion….
Q. What’s your favorite food to eat post training?
A. Chicken Tacos and Rice… Chipotle Bowl
Q. How do you stop yourself form eating unhealthy foods?
A. Don’t buy it so its not in the house..
Q. Strangest crash or most embarrassing?
A. Have had many, but learned from them all so cant really say they have been strange or embarrassing.
Q. What do you think about during long rides to stave off boredom?
A. Honestly, I have never been bored on any MTB Ride, I always think of how lucky I am to be able to be in my 50’s, feel like I am in my 20’s, and have the ability to get out on my MTB, the longer, tougher it is the more I enjoy the ride
Q. Why do you train with Dai?
A. Was Fortunate enough to meet Julie 5 or so years ago while doing a bike fit, I knew she was a great athlete and when I found out she also coached I knew at some point and time when I decided to get serious I would go to her for some help.
