Q & A with Wesley Miyamura from Davis Bike Club Elite Team

We had sometime to catch up with local cyclist Wesley Miyamura who is racing for Davis Bike Club Elite Team this 2018 race season. Wes switched over to Dai’s U23 Coaching Program late in the season after not seeing the results from another coaching company. He’s been working hard in the studio the past two months to gain strength, mobility, and flexible so that he get into form before the season is over. Wesley had the honor of being one of our featured athlete’s this past week in July here’s what he had to say.

Q.What do you do in real life?

A. I spend time at home and with my family, but also I am a person who rides bikes and focus on how to get better.

Q. What are your weaknesses?

A. My weakness is descending on the bike, and taking numbers from a power meter too seriously.

Q. Why are you training?

A. I am training so I can take my fitness level to as high as I possibly can.

Q. Do you partake in any Dai Endurance Classes/Training/Fitting? 

A. Yes I partake in multiple classes from their Yin Yoga on Monday’s to work on my recovery to their Red Cord Suspension Class to gain strength in individual muscle groups. 

Q. Favorite piece of technology for training? 

A. Probably my head unit or power meter which I pay too much attention to.

Q. If you could spend 10 days anywhere, where would it be?

A. Girona, Spain since so many professional cyclist go there to train.

Q. Do you have a pre-ride/run route? Food you enjoy before? 

A. No I haven’t found anything yet but I normally eat a good amount of rice and bananas.

Q. What is your favorite food to eat post training? 

A. I really like to eat white rice and bananas.

Q. Do you enjoy coffee/espresso or tea? What’s your preferred brand? 

A. Eh, no I don’t like coffee, and tea I just drink whatever is available.

Q.Why do you train with Dai Endurance? 

A. I train with Dai because of the extensive experience that Coach Mike has and to take my cycling ability to the highest level I can possibly reach.
